The Commons at Baxter and Love is a place for the Gallatin Valley to gather, learn, grow, and have fun.

Since 2010, this campus has seen tens of thousands of people from the Gallatin Valley, Montana, and all over the globe walk through its doors. It has served as a location for countless non-profit fundraisers, conferences, kids activities, shelter for the homeless, community group educational courses, and so much more.

The Commons is, at its core, a community center. It was built to to serve the people of the Gallatin Valley.

The Commons was born and driven by the core belief that the Church should be fully engaged in serving the entire community. The Commons campus is the “home” of Journey Church, but we believe the Church isn’t a building, but rather the people who gather to grow closer to God and reach out to the community around them to show the radical love of Jesus together. To help facilitate the operation and execution of the use of the campus named The Commons at Baxter and Love, we created a separate organization called The Commons, Inc. The Commons, Inc. is a separate 501c4 entity which handles the rental, scheduling, and use of The Commons campus. Currently, there are 3 organizations that use The Commons campus: Journey Church, The Commons Inc., and the YMCA. In 2017, the YMCA completed construction of the first phase of their facility with the goal of helping the valley pursue a healthy lifestyle through fitness, education, and fun.
